Daniel Doran and Margaret McGowan

In the graveyard of Aghanunshin, in Kiltoy townland, there is a grave for Daniel Doran, d 17 May 1893 and his wife Margaret, d 3 Nov 1894. They were aged 60 and 53 years respectively.

The townland they lived in, Cornagill, was uninhabited by 1901. This townland had gone from a population of 106 in 1841 to 5 in 1891 - there was just the one house with 3 males and 2 females in Cornagill that year. This would have been Daniel and Margaret's home, with 2 sons and a daughter living with them.
